The prototype was first unveiled at the 2018 Singapore Airshow, and serial deliveries of the Hunter began in 2019. In June 2019, the Hunter was officially accepted into service, with the 42nd Battalion of the Singapore Armored Regiment becoming the first unit to receive the new platform.The first battle group equipped with these vehicles was declared operationally ready by March 2022. The Hunter’s good power-to-weight ratio also makes it a compelling choice, allowing it to accelerate quickly and engage in combat from cover.All three crew members are located in the hull, with the armament being housed in an unmanned turret. When playing this vehicle, you’ll have access to the Spike-LR II ATGM, which operate on the fire and forget principle and are effective against helicopters and tanks. For the main armament, the Hunter AFV features a 30 mm Bushmaster II Mk.44 cannon with versatile belts for various types of targets. Complementing the firepower is a thermal imager for all crew members and an automatic target tracker, which is great for aiming at low-flying air targets.Dev Note: As mentioned last year in a Community Update news, Singapore’s ground vehicles will be distributed among various in-game nations, taking into account the characteristics and needs of both the vehicle itself and the nations where it might be added. For example, the Hunter AFV’s weapon module is Israeli-made, and Israel has virtually no variety of light support combat vehicles in War Thunder.
