Capcom announces Spotlight showcase for this week including Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and more, but don't expect any Resident Evil Veronica

Capcom has announced that it will be hosting a Capcom Spotlight later this week with updates on Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Capcom is always a big presence at any of the many game showcases throughout the year, which this year's Summer Game Fest undoubtedly showed with the likes of Resident Evil Veronica, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Tifa Lockhart in Street Fighter 6, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen being announced, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword's date finally announced for September 25th. However, despite a big showing, Capcom isn't done yet. On its website, Capcom has announced a new episode of its Capcom Spotlight stream – which is its own version of a Nintendo Direct – to follow up on some of the announcements from Summer Game Fest. The stream will take place on June 25 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST on the Capcom YouTube channel and will last roughly 30 minutes. Unfortunately, if you were hoping to find out more than the pretty much nothing we saw from Resident Evil Veronica or Tifa in Street Fighter, you're out of luck. Capcom has confirmed the stream will be "focused on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword." As for what will be shown, considering retailers have listed Onimusha: Way of the Sword as releasing three weeks earlier than its current date, I'd expect that change could be officially announced this week if it is in fact happening. Monster Hunter Stories 3 is a curious one however, considering it came out in March of this year. None of the games in the spin-off series so far have had meaningful DLC expansions, but perhaps Capcom is going to expand the latest entry. Capcom made twice as much money on Steam compared to PlayStation in the last year as PC gaming continues to grow. [/url]
