Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced reportedly has a bug that can wipe hours of playtime, but Ubisoft is working on a fix
Be warned, fellow landlubbers and prospective high seas plunderers, legend says a curse comes buried with the treasure known as Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resycned - in the form of a bug that might wipe a few hours from your save file, that is. Ubisoft's remade and revamped open-world adventure is rolling out on PC and consoles today, meaning plenty of game reviewers have been poking around its oceans for a while now, but one noted journalist caught a pesky bug that apparently snuck onboard the full launch. The Game File's Stephen Totilo put out a public service announcement last night on social media, warning that "if you're playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, do not leave any Templar Hunt sidequest chains unfinished" because "it produced a glitch that cost me five hours of playing time." Aside from losing five hours at sea, "the game's really fun and some of the new bits are interesting in unexpected ways," he writes. For the specifics on how to encounter the bug - and, thus, how to avoid it - Totila says he was "several quests into the Templar Hunt in Kingston, had left the region to play other parts." He then eventually "triggered a main story mission in Kingston," only to find that the Templar Hunt quests and the main quests apparently "blocked each other." A Ubisoft representative reportedly told Totilo that the team has identified the bug and is working on a fix that should arrive in an upcoming update. There's no time frame as to when the bug might finally be squished, so be extra careful if you're planning to jump in later today. As for GamesRadar+'s Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced review, we called it "a decent remake of a great game" that can unfortunately "feel a bit rudderless." Does Resynched have what it takes to top our list of the best Assassin's Creed games ever? [/url]
