iPhone 15 Pro Series Introduces Immersive Video Recording
Apple has once again pushed the boundaries of technology, introducing an awe-inspiring immersive video recording feature for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max users. This innovation allows users to capture spatial videos with their phone's camera and relive memories in three-dimensional space on the Apple Vision Pro.
How to Record Spatial Videos with Your iPhone 15
Users can start recording by following these simple steps:
-
Open the 'Camera' app on your iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max.
-
Switch to 'Video' mode and rotate the phone to landscape orientation.
-
Tap the 'Spatial Video Off' button and then tap 'Record' or use the volume buttons to start recording.
-
During recording, users should:
- Keep the iPhone steady and level.
- Position the subject within 3 to 8 feet of the camera.
- Utilize even and bright lighting.
-
Tap 'Record' again or press one of the volume buttons to stop recording.
-
Tap the 'Spatial Video On' button to turn off spatial video recording.
After recording a spatial video, you can view it in three dimensions in the 'Photos' app on Apple Vision Pro. You can also view spatial videos in two dimensions, sharing them across your other Apple devices just like a regular video. Spatial videos are synced to all devices logged in with the same Apple ID and with 'iCloud Photos' enabled.
Note: Spatial videos shot on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are recorded in SDR format at 1080p (30 fps). A minute's worth of spatial video is approximately 130 MB (a minute of regular 1080p 30 fps video is about 65 MB).
