The team at Firaxis had a great time celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Civilization franchise and outlining all of the exciting things coming to Civ VII in the near future.If you weren’t able to tune in or attend in-person, we were thrilled to announce the Arc of Tomorrow update, which will be free for all players when it arrives in 2027.* This massive update will include new civilizations, leaders, a brand-new Age, and more new or refined features along with it! We were also proud to unveil Civilization VII: Earthrise, the game's first paid, space-themed expansion that is expected to release next year as well.** Looking to the even nearer future first, there’s also new content coming to Civilization VII later this month with Update 1.5.0.
