STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ is Out Now!
"The golden age of the Galactic League begins now!" Star Wars: Galactic Racer™ is out now worldwide on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Experience high-speed high-stakes racing in a galaxy far, far away. In this runs-based reinvention of racing, you'll get the chance to pilot a range of speeders and podracers as you make your way through the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit born in the lawless Outer Rim of the Star Wars™ galaxy. Play as Shade in the singleplayer campaign as you navigate your way through the League with the help of trusty engineer and loyal friend Hibi on your way to take down ruthless league champion Kestar Bool. Jump into Arcade and Scenario events to test your skills and speed in a wide variety of situations. Take on pilots from around the world in online multiplayer with quick races or full runs-based races that culminate in a thrilling showdown on Derven Acos. On your journey through the Galactic League, you'll have four different repulsorcraft to choose from: landspeeders, speeder bikes, and skim speeders, which are raced against each other, and podracers, which are raced separately due to their intensely high speed and significantly larger size. Each vehicle offers new playstyles and ways to race. Landspeeders offer great acceleration and top speed with enough resilience to be the tanks of the track, drifting around corners with ease. Speeder bikes are fast, agile but fragile. They have a unique Kinetic Burst capability, storing the energy from braking into a corner and then releasing it in burst of acceleration. Skim speeders are a new, elegant vehicle introduced to the Star Wars galaxy in Star Wars: Galactic Racer for the first time. They represent a balance between landspeeders and speeder bikes: a vehicle able to describe flowing lines with a Knife Edge capability for pilots to master. Last but certainly not least, the iconic podracers. The ultimate racing form capable of reaching breakneck speeds that leave zero room for error. Star Wars: Galactic Racer was developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. Fuse Games' co-founder and CEO Matt Webster had this to say about the launch: "Three and a half years ago, Fuse Games was a handful of people with a big idea scrawled on a whiteboard. Today we launch our debut game, set in a galaxy far, far away. Building an experience at this scale as a small independent studio meant finding a different way to work, and different people to work with, at every step. We thank every development partner who helped get us here, to the team at Secret Mode, and above all to Lucasfilm Games, for trusting a small team with such a legendary galaxy."
