Hotfix v0.3: the Iron Bank, Deck backups, and a black screen

The Iron Bank takes its due in coin firstAt each turn of the year the Iron Bank now takes what is due from your treasury, then from the strongbox (keeping one payday's wages in it). Only if that is not enough does it take your most valuable delver, or the best piece in your racks. Before, it counted only gold you had paid in by hand on the Finances screen, so a guild with the money could still lose a delver (Mathieu thank you for highlight this!)If you were paying it off by hand, nothing changes for you.FixedA black screen on an event card: a delver renamed with certain characters (a bracket, a full stop, a question mark) could black out the screen when an event named them. Names are now read safely, and any card that fails now shows what broke and lets you carry on, instead of a black screen (kasaderis). The Crucible's winner showed before the reveal: the Champions of the Realm, the Line of Stewards and the Day Book named the champion before you watched it, so the wager could be won by looking. Nothing names the winner now until the reveal, and while you are playing the Crucible yourself no stand-in champion is shown (Pzub).A town building that could never be mended: the town mends one building at a time, and a second damaged meanwhile was never put up for mending, so it stayed idle for good (the Standard Hall, for one). They now say the Trial is today, and the delves open again once it is played (AcheronBlackhand).UI scaling: with the interface scaled up, the main menu could sit off the bottom of the screen. Each line now counts what the wall counts, and says when home ground doubles it (AcheronBlackhand). The Tavern's red circle for new Town work showed on the Quests tab. I'll not ask this too often but please leave a review of the game to help with discoverability,
There's a long way to go and this is just the start of this journey and I look forward to hearing everyone's stories and seeing what feedback and Idea's everyone has!
TL;DR
Fixes from all your chats on both discord and Steam
A frozen pointer in fullscreen: a new Borderless window option on Windows to try and combat this issue that you can find in settings > display
Steam Deck: your backups are now listed in the game, so loading one is a single click.
Linux: much smoother on large screens
For any of these let me know if these do not resolve any of the issues you are seing.
At each turn of the year the Iron Bank now takes what is due from your treasury, then from the strongbox (keeping one payday's wages in it). Only if that is not enough does it take your most valuable delver, or the best piece in your racks. Before, it counted only gold you had paid in by hand on the Finances screen, so a guild with the money could still lose a delver (Mathieu thank you for highlight this!)
If you were paying it off by hand, nothing changes for you.
A black screen on an event card: a delver renamed with certain characters (a bracket, a full stop, a question mark) could black out the screen when an event named them.
Nothing names the winner now until the reveal, and while you are playing the Crucible yourself no stand-in champion is shown (Pzub).
A town building that could never be mended: the town mends one building at a time, and a second damaged meanwhile was never put up for mending, so it stayed idle for good (the Standard Hall, for one). Each damaged building now gets its turn, and a town already stuck finds its mend posted the next day. (Incarnation)
Offers for a delver who had left: when a listed delver was released, retired, lost or killed, their listing and any offers stayed on the Seeker Market, priced at 0g, and Shake on it did nothing. They are now cleared, and saves are tidied when they load (Defigeek).
Wars and bouts that opened at their end: with Windows' animation effects off, every war and Gathering bout skipped straight to the result. Settings, Battle motion now has three choices: follow the system, Moving or Still (Briger_).
On a Trial's day the locked delve cards blamed the next Gathering. They now say the Trial is today, and the delves open again once it is played (AcheronBlackhand).
UI scaling: with the interface scaled up, the main menu could sit off the bottom of the screen. The title screen, the founding scenes and the other full-screen pages now fit the window at any scale (五十岚).
The Forge's Hide armour had a blank description in the Kind list. It now says what it does: health, healing received, and it bars the Numbing Frost (AcheronBlackhand).
The town's garrison didn't add up: each delver's "counts N on the wall" left out the bonuses the wall really gives (double for a delver from the town's own region, the town's kit, the Watch and the Muster), so the rows never matched the total. Each line now counts what the wall counts, and says when home ground doubles it (AcheronBlackhand).
The Tavern's red circle for new Town work showed on the Quests tab. It now shows on Town work (Bob of Course).
A delve that would not be home for the Trial promised the party home "the very day". It now says they will still be out (Happydane).
A delver repeating a mood line such as "The last road went badly" twice now says it once (Alexfrog).
Trait hovers: no stray "Every Drake." on a delver's own trait, and "an uncommon" reads properly (visler).
A bound beast's sheet now shows its oath, as every other delver's does (Bob of Course).
The Council: work finished before its sitting keeps the guild's backing, and a bet with nothing left to raise is called off and refunded.
Hearthgrown: no travellers sworn in at the door, and a freed captive is found work or sent on (four).
A Mentor candidate is weighed against the Academy's Mentors, not against "Nobody sits as Mentor" (four).
Defence tab: the Threats met list no longer runs its year into its line (Happydane).
Borderless window (Windows): Settings, Display, Fullscreen style. It fills the screen without true fullscreen, and the taskbar stays in view. If your pointer freezes in fullscreen, choose this. Fullscreen itself is unchanged unless you pick it (Belegost, simrod25, Ryuruben).
Your backups, listed: Load a Ledger, Restore in Settings, and Continue from a backup file now show the backups in the game's Backups folder, newest first, so you can load one without hunting for the file. Another file still opens the file picker (PeaceOwl).
The Levels page now says "Your guild's renown" where it said "Your guild's name", which read like a missing guild name (moxiepilot).
Auto-train shows its work: the Training Yard's bench count read 0 all day with Auto-train on, because Auto's picks were never shown. The count now includes them, and a line under the toggle names who Auto has on the benches today (Davinci, YodaDoge).
The town council: a bet now says what it was on ("Your 300g bet on the Town Hall is lost"), and the Town Hall and City Hall say they add a seat to your Guild Council, not to the town's.
The Second Calling's orders: the class-wide orders show a calling such as Lay on Hands but cannot change it, and now say where it is set: press Edit on that delver's row in Orders (AcheronBlackhand).
The community wiki: the Compendium now links the players' own wiki at https://dungeonsanddynasties.com.
Linux: on the Linux desktop the menu's pulsing dots hold still and the large panels lose their drop shadows. Linux's web engine redrew them constantly, which made the game slow on large screens (DrDark, lobster). Windows and the Steam Deck look exactly as before.
Delvers on the town wall: a delver posted to your town's garrison leaves the roster while they serve, which could look like they had vanished. The Roster now names who is on the wall and where to bring them home (Hawk).
Mementos fold by year: on the Honours page the newest year stays open and every older year folds into one line you can open (vergil, AcheronBlackhand).
Hometown says what is new: when its dot lights in the sidebar, opening Hometown lists what has happened there since you last looked (Defigeek).
New this year: when promotion means more delvers a side, the Delves screen says so until the year's first Trial (Briger_).
Counter gear shows when carried: the shield mark on a piece that counters a condition now shows on the Roster and in the Armoury, dim, and lit on a delve it answers (Panserand).
Posts in more places: the Oath card names the delver's post, and the priorities grid shows each delver's post beside their role (Briger_, Xtrmo).
The Orders tab says when a delver's orders come from the formation (four).
Deep Cold now says keep a Physician on your staff, rather than bring one (Briger_).
Training hover: says how the guildmaster's and the trainers' bonuses stack (Happydane).
Flagbearer: the Archivist and the Standard Hall say where to name one once the hall stands (ZXD).
Menu icons: the Roster, Dashboard, Realm, Honours and Compendium have icons of their own (Focico).
The Hometown tour shows the free plot beside its words (Tristin).
If Windows blocks the game with "This file was blocked by an application control policy", that is Smart App Control, not your save. We are working on getting the game signed. Please do not turn Smart App Control off just for us: on many versions of Windows it cannot be turned back on without resetting Windows.
