Wendy's RPG WendyQuest Offers Real Food Rewards for Beating Boss Fights
Wendy’s has gone full Wendy’s, releasing a 15-hour RPG based on the fast-food chain’s branding. We were caught off guard by trailers showing some genuinely compelling turn-based gameplay, but the full launch of WendyQuest has brought yet another surprise: real rewards for beating bosses. Every time you defeat a Mech Boss, the game will reward you with one 'Corner Stone,' which comes with a unique code. Enter the code into the 'Offers' tab on the Wendy’s app, and you’ll get a chance to win one of the following food rewards: WendyQuest food rewardsFREE Medium Fry w/ purchase FREE Small Classic Frosty w/ purchase FREE 10 PC Nuggs w/ purchase FREE Biscuit or Croissant w/ purchase FREE Dave’s Single w/ purchase There are five Mech Bosses in the game, which gives you a total of five chances to score one of the rewards. Unfortunately, repeat encounters don’t appear to net additional codes. The rewards aren’t entirely free — to actually redeem them, you’ll have to make a "separate qualifying purchase." Classic, I know. Reward eligibility is limited to U.S. residents who are 18 and older, and players have seven days after redeeming a code in-app to complete an order before it expires. The real-life rewards will endure "while supplies last," indicating the promotion may be time-limited. It would be kind of wild if it was a permanent fixture of the Wendy’s brand, but you never know. The company just released their third-quarter financials, reporting a 7.6% decline in U.S. systemwide sales and 5.3% decline in same-restaurant sales, and has been going all-in on the marketing stunts to try and make up some ground. WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones launched as a free-to-play game on Steam, Android, and iOS devices on November 4, hitting a peak player count of just shy of 400 on Steam. Launching at the same time as the Ocarina of Time remake was an interesting choice, to say the least, and makes WendyQuest one of the few games releasing in the month of GTA 6. I can’t believe you guys made a retro RPG called WendyQuest that you can download now. Oh wait that was us.https://t.co/gEiQZ5P1P4— Wendy’s (@Wendys) November 4, 2026 The full RPG includes around 15 hours of content, equivalent to recent AAA releases like Marvel's Wolverine. You control the red-haired Wendy, recruiting allies to stop the evil Mech Corp and save the land of Savoria. The Mech Corp empire, under the control of Dr. MechBorg, runs with a capital 'M' logo and is all about cutting corners to earn billions, likely a direct hit at a classic Wendy’s competitor, McDonald’s. In-game abilities and items are all based on classic Wendy’s food items, with unique damage types like "Crispy," "Frosty," and "Fresh Beef." WendyQuest was developed in collaboration with 81monkeys, a Canadian-based company, based on the 2D style of turn-based JRPG classics like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. As more and more games launch with full AI use disclosures, the WendyQuest Steam listing proudly proclaims the game as "100% fresh and 100% human made." Will a solid RPG experience inspire people to eat more Wendy’s? We’ll have to see.
