Soulmask 1.0 & Egypt DLC Are Out Now - DLC Free for the First Month!
Chieftains, the day has finally arrived!

From the very first day of Early Access to now, it’s been a long and incredible journey.
After 21 months of development and more than 1,800 improvements and upgrades, all of those late nights have led us here—

And before we dive into everything waiting for you, we want to emphasize this one more time:

During the first month after launch, every Soulmask 1.0 owner can claim the Shifting Sands DLC for free!

This is the best gift we could think of for all of you.

We’d also like to sincerely thank Valve for the tremendous support they provided throughout this process, helping us make this free DLC giveaway possible.

Now, let’s take a look at everything you’ll be able to experience.

I. Soulmask 1.0

Soulmask 1.0 is not just another update—it’s a complete reinvention of the game itself. From onboarding and combat to tribal AI and settlement management, every change has been shaped by the feedback you gave us throughout Early Access.

A Brand-New Onboarding Experience

Our new guidance companion, Consciousness X, will step in the first time you encounter special situations and offer timely advice.
At the same time, the new in-game Mask Knowledge Base brings Soulmask’s entire encyclopedia directly into the game—materials, uses, crafting methods, and even where to find them on the map, all in one place.

Mask Mimicry Ascension

The Mimicry skills you already know have received a major upgrade in 1.0.
The new Mimicry Ascension system pushes every Mask beyond its original limits, unleashing power worthy of the ancient “gods.”

Fertility now summons a manifestation behind you that unleashes volleys of arrows.
Eternal Flame creates a large field that protects allies while damaging enemies.
Shadow Walker now goes beyond optical invisibility, allowing you to teleport through space and execute enemies from behind.
Tactical Guidance even gains the power to bring fallen Companion back to life.

Every Mask will feel different again.
You’ll rediscover all of them from a whole new angle.

Tribe Development System — Build Your Perfect Clan

The new Training Ground building allows talented tribesmen to pass on and inherit their exceptional talents through training.
For the first time, you can truly shape the perfect clan warrior entirely your own.

The new tribe role system finally solves the old problem of idle tribesmen standing around the bonfire. By assigning specific duties to each tribesman, they can actively look for work whenever their assigned stations aren’t busy.
And with the new global Tribe Management system, you can oversee your stockpiles, workstation status, and each tribesman’s current tasks from a true commander’s perspective.

Three Game Modes — Find the Soulmask Experience That Fits You

Version 1.0 introduces three distinct ways to play, each offering a very different kind of experience.

Survival Mode: If you love the harsh, immersive struggle of classic wilderness survival, this is the original Soulmask experience at its core.

Tribe Mode: If you want to build up your tribe into a thriving civilization, systems like prestige progression, random merchant events, and high-pressure invasion mechanics will make every step of your expansion feel dynamic and rewarding.

Warrior Mode: If all you want is to grab your weapon and fight, skipping the usual survival chores to focus on brutal combat, this mode was built for you—stronger enemies, a harsher combat system, and weapons that no longer break for a pure test of offense and defense.

Every mode also supports deep customization.
In Soulmask, the rules are always yours to shape.

II. Shifting Sands DLC: A Whole New World Awaits

Shifting Sands is a brand-new world built on the same scale as the base game.

Rooted in ancient Egyptian mythology and driven by the spirit of an anti-gravity Sun Ship civilization, it weaves together sandstorms, mechanical ruins, and four divine guardians into the most ambitious adventure this series has ever seen.

An Egyptian Open World

Across the dune fields, floating pyramids loom over abandoned temples while the ruins of a lost civilization lie buried deep beneath the sands. Sand Bandit factions wielding ancient technology — and two entirely new tribes — stand openly against you at every turn.

Venture further into the Death Desert and the Eye of Sand, and lethal heat and eternal sandstorms will greet you — along with the legend sleeping in the deepest reaches of the desert.

Make Your Ship Your Home — Your City in the Sky

The most ambitious feature in Shifting Sands is not the Masks.
It is not the ruins.
It’s your ship.

You begin with a creaking little wooden boat.

Defeat Sobek, the Crocodile Guardian to obtain your first anti-gravity engine, and your tribe will finally break free from the earth below.

You can move your entire production line and all your tribesmen onto your ship, keeping your settlement running while you travel, no longer tied to a single piece of land.

You can equip your ship with Cannons, Energy Shields, Rockbreaker Turrets, and even a Battleship Main Cannon, turning it into a flying fortress.

Through the ship-linking system, you can combine factory ships, warships, and scout vessels into your own airborne fleet.

And with the new dye system and Egyptian-style building parts, you can transform your city in the sky into something uniquely yours.

More importantly, your ships can be saved as Blueprints and uploaded to the Steam Workshop, allowing you to share them with players around the world. Your creativity will become a permanent part of the skies of Shifting Sands.

And once your fleet is fully armed and your Masks have reached their full power, the legendary beast that once destroyed an ancient kingdom—Death Sandstorm—will finally face a challenger worthy of awakening.

Wear the Mask. Walk with the Gods.

Every Mask in Shifting Sands is a trophy torn from the body of a divine guardian beast you defeat with your own hands.

Celestial Wings, the Mask of Horus, god of the sky, grants immunity to fall damage, free aerial gliding, and a devastating dive attack from above. It is heavily tailored toward survival and serves as your first real lifeline in Shifting Sands.

Abyss Overlord, the Mask of Sobek, god of floodwaters, converts enemy life into bonus armor with every kill. Surging tides periodically nullify incoming damage, while Fluid Imprisonment traps enemies inside a watery prison. The more enemies you kill, the harder you become to bring down.

Doomsday Judgment, the Mask of Anubis, god of the underworld, reflects every negative status effect your enemies inflict on you and lets fallen enemies rise again to fight at your side. Your enemies become your army.

Glorious Hymn, the Mask of Amun-Ra, god of the sun, burns all nearby enemies while in Mimicry form and unleashes solar light that ignites everything in sight. Every kill fuels your next outburst of power. It is pure, overwhelming destruction.

Four completely different combat styles.

Four completely different growth paths.

Which one will you start with?
