Once you defeat Sobek, you'll get the mask. The Abyss Overlord is extremely useful for underwater survival. You'll have a bigger pool of Oxygen that allows you to breathe longer. You'll also swim faster and reduce the incoming damage from arrows. There's a mysterious portal that you can use for fast travel. You'll find an Ancient Pyramid to its north, and you'll get the key to a nearby pyramid that contains the mask. When in Mimicry mode, you'll change into Anubis, and there are several benefits. The duration of all bandages when you apply them will be increased by 50%. If you get affected by status effects, it will be inflicted on the target instead. The mask can convert solar energy to enhance your abilities. You can use the laser energy to expose the weak points of enemies. When you're in Mimicry mode, it will create energy pulses. These pulses deal damage to enemies when they're within a certain radius. You can also use the ability to burn enemies in front of you and deal damage over time.
