Counter-Strike 2 Player Banned

A Counter-Strike 2 tournament has slapped a player with a 10-year ban after he punched his opponent live on-stage at a local German LAN. 30-year-old CS2 player and streamer MAUschine, from Berlin, punched his opponent, Fabian "Spidergum" Salomon, during the awards ceremony at the CAGGTUS Leipzig CS2 tournament, which formed a part of the largest LAN party in the German-speaking world. MAUschine’s team had lost to the Spidergum’s Legends Lobby during the tournament. Based on footage of the event, MAUschine appears to have been upset by Spidergum mimicking his own victory calls. In the video, below, Spidergum yells "papichulo" after winning a round. MAUschine had been yelling "papichulo," his own alias, after kills. VIDEO Showing his Reasoning behind the Punch ????????‍♂️ https://t.co/VB6TwayOWA— ClipGD (@ClipGD) April 19, 2026 The punch occured as the players took to the stage during the awards portion yesterday, April 19. The clearly shocked host eventually orders MAUschine off-stage, with Spidergum left bemused by what had happened to him. The CS2 tournament in question, categorized as 'Tier S,' was a 5v5 that began on Friday, with first place taking a 'Beginner LAN Seat 2027,' second place a 'bequiet Pure Rock Pro 3 LX,' and third place a 'free hot beverage flat rate 2027.' As reported by DotEsports, the tournament organizer, DACH CS Masters, issued a 10-year suspension while issuing the following statement in German: “We do not tolerate physical assaults against other players at LAN and have acted accordingly. MAUschine is banned for at least 10 years and the incident has additionally been reported to ESIC [Esports Integrity Commission]. In case it wasn’t clear, we think violence has no place in our league.” Regnum4games, the German esports organization Spidergum is a member of, said it will provide Spidergum with legal support, and there already calls for MAUschine to be banned for life. However, Spidergum himself appeared to play down the incident, saying in a post on Twitter / X: "Bullseye from MAUschine, better aim than with the AWP and especially on stream.” I suspect MAUschine won't be back next year to cash in on that free hot beverage.
