■ Season 4 Story: The Great Clash



- Season 4's subtitle is 'The Great Clash,' and the final showdown between Karel and humanity is the heart of the season's story.

- Karel, who has been closing in on the front lines, now strikes directly at Ingris, and a massive Vulgus warship appears above Albion. To protect Ingris, our Descendants infiltrate the warship at the heart of enemy lines and clash with Karel.

- While the final battle unfolds, Season 4 also begins unraveling the mystery of what Amon and Magister have been plotting behind the scenes.

- Once the Season 4 story begins, the atmosphere of Albion shifts. Players can encounter dungeons set in Albion, including the lab in ruins from Karel's offensive strike.

 

■ 2026 Second Half Content Roadmap


- The roadmap focuses on only major content, with monthly updates that will be applied regularly. The detailed roadmap for Season 4 Episode 1 will be shared at our August Dev Live

 

■ New Content: Void Intercept Battle: EXTREME – July 15^th



- Void Intercept Battle: EXTREME consolidates Hard Void Intercept and Void Abyss Intercept into a single mode, with multiple difficulty tiers.

- The difficulty gap between Void Abyss Intercept and Challenge has been further segmented, and even higher difficulties beyond Void Abyss Intercept Challenge have been opened. Hard Void Intercept now serves as the entry gateway into EXTREME, and Void Abyss Intercept farming is also consolidated into EXTREME.

- In the final stage, players combine 'Critical Points' to change the difficulty and take on the challenge. Dozens of options can be combined to power up the Colossus, or add new penalties, and the higher the Critical Point settings, the higher the farming efficiency.

- After the July 15 update, Void Intercept: EXTREME will remain as permanent content. Critical Point settings will be tuned throughout July as we monitor the data, and a Leaderboard for competing on higher Critical Points will be introduced in Season 4.

 

■ Mega Dungeon – August 20^th



- The Mega Dungeon covers the grand finale of Season 4's story, containing the battle to intercept Karel, and is a narrative-focused content.

- Rather than focusing on repetitive gameplay, the dungeon places its weight on a memorable single-run experience and direction. With a large scale, it weaves level-based interactive elements with varied combat, building up through multiple commanders into a final boss fight.

- The Mega Dungeon offers two difficulties, Normal and Hard, with the story playing out at Normal. A reward structure is being prepared where players can farm exclusive currency on a limited basis to exchange for items.

- A limited-time event named 'Conquest,' commemorating the story's grand finale, will begin in early September, two weeks after the Season 4 update.

 

 

■ New Descendant: Raven – August 20^th



- Raven was the boss of a guild that ruled the back alleys of Albion, and called the Conductor, with a narrative tied to Viessa's childhood.

- A firearm Descendant with excellent synergy with shotguns, who uses a double barrel shotgun as her skill weapon. She summons crows to support combat and excels at rapidly shifting positions to claim favorable angles.

- Raven's mechanic grants additional damage proportional to the number of pellets that land, along with damage transfer mechanism making weapons with high pellet count and fast fire rate especially effective.

- Detailed content including the skill gameplay will be shared at our August Dev Live.

 

■ New Weapon System: Transcendent Weapons – August 20^th



- A total of 11 Transcendent Weapons will be added with the August update. Some are upgraded versions of existing Ultimate Weapons, alongside new Transcendent Weapons with entirely new unique abilities.

- Each Transcendent Weapon has its own Quality, and that Quality determines the weapon's performance. The more challenging the content, the higher the Quality players can farm, and the more you farm, the higher the lower boundary of obtainable Quality rises.

- Abilities: Transcendent Weapons have Transcendent Ability and Sub Abilities.
- Transcendent Weapons can be farmed in most content, including lower-level content as well. Descendants who start in Season 4 can begin progressing with Transcendent Weapons as their core — making this a long-term goal that becomes the new central axis of progression.

- Transcendent Weapon trading begins after the September update. In addition to the current one-on-one trading, a new trading method called 'Lounge Storage Trading' will be introduced, where the seller and buyer don't have to meet directly.

■ New Content: Trials – August 20^th



- Trials is content where players can repeat choices and growth to face greater trials. Players can strengthen abilities through various choices given during combat, while overcoming deepening challenges.

- Compared to Onslaught Mode, choices come more frequently and in greater numbers, letting players grow toward an even higher peak. Beyond stat-based growth, various effects are also added.

- Once players entered Hard difficulty, they can begin playing relatively early on, making it accessible for returning players as well. For lower-level Descendants, a 'Rotation Build' is provided, which is a complete build with Trigger Modules set up and rotated on a set schedule.

- Matchmaking will be separated into lower-level and higher-level brackets based on Arche Activity. Players can focus on farming Transcendent Weapons, and earn Merit Tokens to exchange at the Merit Exchange for various items.

 

■ New Ultimate Descendant: Ultimate Hailey – September 17^th



- Ultimate Hailey is being added in September. Two new Ultimate skill modules are also being added.

- The first module is an AoE-focused build that simplifies controls while specializing in wiping out large groups of enemies. The second module fires a strong shot while piercing all targets at the longest range.

- An ultimate premium skin will also be unveiled. Detailed content including actual skill mechanics and visuals will be shown at our September Dev Live.

 

■ New Content: Cradle of Evolution – September 17^th

 

- The new content 'Cradle of Evolution' will also be updated in September. It's a new type of dungeon where the task flow changes each time you play. Designed at a higher difficulty than Axion Infiltration Operations, it will serve as a new farming spot for veteran players.

 

■ New Content: Colosseum-A - December



- Colosseum-A is scheduled for the December update, which is content set against an unknown combat training simulation discovered in the relics of the Ancestors.

- Basically, it's a 3v3 match where Descendants split into two factions and each engage the Vulgus and aim for their faction's victory. On top of that, a Descendant can become a giant-sized Colossus and invade the opposing faction.

- While it’s normally a PvE-based competition, the moment a Descendant becomes a Colossus and invades the opposing faction, an asymmetric element layers in — making this The First Descendant's first 'PvE-based asymmetric PvEvP' content.

- It also carries narrative weight as an important clue in uncovering the Ancestors' secrets, and the 'simulation' premise opens up wide expansion possibilities.

■ 2^nd Anniversary Skin Contest Final Voting



- From July 6^th to July 20^th, players can participate in the Skin Contest final voting.

- Voting takes place across 2 categories, voting once per category up to 2 times total during the voting period. Once cast, votes cannot be changed or cancelled, so please choose carefully!

 

 

■ Pre-orders for The First Descendant Figures



- The pre-order page opens at 9:00 PM PT on July 1^st.

- Pre-orders run through August 31^st. Detailed information including pricing and shipping schedule can be found on the pre-order page.

 

■ Twitch Drops



- Starting at July 2^nd, 10:00 PM PT, players can earn Twitch Drops by watching The First Descendant live streams on Twitch.

- Various rewards can be earned based on watch time (30, 60, 120, and 150 minutes).
