The fourth numbered entry in the long-running life simulation franchise from Maxis and EA is still going strong, more than a decade after its original release in 2014. The Sims 4 has received 21 expansion packs and 12 game packs throughout its life, most recently launching the Royalty and Legacy DLC, bringing a new "dynasty" system for players to create their own historic families and kingdoms within the game.
